  • Is the membership only open to moms?
    While our community caters to the unique needs of mom owned businesses, we strive to maintain an inclusive environment.
  • Is the membership community only open to those located in Ohio?
    We love supporting mompreneurs all over the country, not just here in Ohio!
  • Is there a membership code of conduct?
    In order to maintain the integrity of the group, all members agree to abide by our code of conduct. In short, we have no time for mama drama in our community. Mutual respect is at the core of our values.
  • I just joined the membership! Now what?
    You will receive a welcome email within 30’ of submitting your membership application with further details on how to take advantage of your membership perks. Please note, your membership application will not be processed until payment is submitted via our payment portal, Square. If you do not receive the welcome email, please check your spam and promotions folders. Contact us if you are unable to locate the email.
  • Why don’t you permit promotion of MLM, direct marketing, and franchise based businesses within the Mom Owned Business Directory?
    This was a foundational business decision based on the lack of resources available to locally owned businesses that don’t have the guidance, support, and resources from a parent company. Through market research, we determined that lack of local visibility due to limited budgets was one of the largest barriers for local businesses. While we realize each entity is owned by a local person, we wanted to focus on becoming a resource to bridge this gap to allow these businesses the highest chance of success.
  • Are there free ways to get involved?
    Absolutely! Follow along on Instagram @themomsonamission for information on upcoming events including virtual and in person coffee chats. Follow our Founder Amy on Instagram @amytraugh for business tips and strategies. Join our free Facebook group here Listen to The Motivated Mompreneur Podcast streaming on all platforms.
  • What do the membership dues go towards?
    The membership dues allow us to offset the costs of our online platforms, printing costs for promotional materials including “Support Local” directory cards, and supplies for local events. In addition, each year we donate a portion of our proceeds to a local community organization. Past donations and sponsorships have included, Women of Strength, Mardi Bra, and Little Pink Ribbon Girl through CJ and Cree’s Lemonade Stand.
  • Where can I find more information on upcoming events?
    Make sure you’re on our email list and follow us on social media to stay up to date.
  • Are the monthly masterclasses and hotseat coaching sessions recorded?
    Yes! We understand that as a mom running a business, your schedule can be unpredictable and you may not be able to attend an event live. We completely understand, therefore we record all masterclasses and coaching sessions and email the recording.
  • How do I cancel my membership?
    We understand businesses evolve and we may no longer be the best fit to serve your needs. To cancel your monthly membership, you can find the option to cancel at the bottom of your monthly membership invoice. To cancel your yearly membership, simply email us the word “cancel” 30 days in advance of your annual renewal, no questions asked. We will cancel the membership on our end so you don’t incur a recurring charge.
